Machinery Regulation 2027 checklist

Classify

• Products identified that will be placed on the market from 20.01.2027 — including stock
• For each product: machinery, partly completed machinery or related product
• Annex I Part A or B checked
• Conformity assessment procedure chosen; notified body contacted if needed

Assess and document

• Risk assessment updated against Annex III, including points 1.1.9 and 1.2.1
• Technical documentation under Annex IV complete
• For safety-related software: source code or programming logic available on request
• Retention for at least ten years organised

Declare and mark

• EU declaration of conformity or incorporation redrafted under Annex V
• One declaration for all applicable acts – already required today: check it is complete
• Nameplate with year of construction and contact; CE marking
• Instructions: on paper, or digital with an address that lasts ten years

Cyber Resilience Act

• Checked whether the machine is a product with digital elements
• Reporting path for vulnerabilities and incidents set up (applies since 11.09.2026)
